Children and Young People

Have you got children that you would like to bring to church? Children and young people are most welcome. The more the merrier!

We consider it the greatest privilege to teach little ones (and getting bigger ones) about Jesus Christ. The Bible is such an exciting book because it is about our great and exciting God, so we aim to make it a place where children of all ages come away excited about the God of the Bible!

There are children’s groups during most services. We start off with everyone together in the service, then children head off to their groups (younger children with a parent. The children's group leaders will bring children back at the end of the service. Every few weeks we have an 'all age service' where the usual groups do not take place and the main service is made accessible to all ages and children are encouraged to be involved.

Children's Ministry

Sparklers (2-4s)

The Sparklers group is for children aged 2-4, before they go to school. There are songs, games, a Bible story, and a craft to help the children learn about who Jesus is and all that God has done.

The Great Sunday Morning Adventure (Reception-Year 2)

Children at school in years Reception to Year 2 are the in the Great Sunday Morning Adventure (GSMA). The time in groups will include a range of fun, age-appropriate activities, quizzes and crafts for the children to do, as they learn more about Jesus and the great God the Bible speaks about.

TROGs (Year 3-Year 6)

For those who are older (Year 3-Year 6) there is a group called 'T.R.O.G.s' (The Rather Older Group) where again the Bible is taught clearly with fun activities, digging deep into the wonderful truth about Jesus and God's plan for us all.

Youth

Doughnuts & Discussion

After the service once a month, the young people (11-18s) will gather together and discuss the teaching and sermons over some tasty snacks! It's a time to ask questions and explore God's word deeper.

CCHY

Those in Year 7 - Year 13 are welcome to join CCHY (Christ Church Huntingdon Youth). We encourage young people to take part in the Sunday morning service, but we also run a group dedicated to them that meets at 7pm every Sunday to enjoy time together, encourage one another, and dig into God's word to see how it can help us in our everyday lives.
